Network Defenses I introduces students to the fundamental concepts and practical skills needed to identify, defend, and mitigate threats against computer networks and web applications. Through a blend of theoretical instruction and hands-on activities, the course covers hacking web servers, understanding web application technologies and vulnerabilities, implementation of scripting languages for security, database connectivity and protection, and common attack tools.
